As part of the $600 million new air carrier Austin-Bergstrom International Airport program, Mr. Overman served as project principal and was in full charge of the design and construction phase services for a new 9,000-foot air carrier runway designed to CAT III standards with a full parallel taxiway, high-speed exits, and partial dual parallel taxiway. This project included edge, centerline, and touchdown zone lights. The assignment also included 19,000 feet of perimeter roadway and reconstruction of three existing and three new golf holes. The work involved extensive drainage improvements, including storm water detention and sedimentation filtration ponds to treat the first 0.5 inch of runoff from the terminal area.
